At Palisades Pharmacy, we administer injections of many types. Our pharmacists are authorized by the Alberta College of Pharmacy to administer injections. We regularly do injections and you can trust us to give you your injection.

Our pharmacists can administer:

     - intramuscular (i.m.) into the deltoid (arm) or the vastus lateralis (thigh)

     - subcutaneous (s.c.) into the back of the arm or abdomen.

Pharmacists can administer injections to individuals 5 years old and older. Children under 5 years old will need to receive their injection from a registered nurse or physician. Linda is experienced with administering injections for children. If your child is nervous about injections, call into the pharmacy before bringing your child in.

Anesthetic creams, such as Emla and Zensa, can be used to help reduce the sensation felt by the recipient. You can purchase them at our pharmacy. They need to be applied at least 30 minutes prior to the injection time.
